Changes to the NCC: Key Dates and Information
The 2020-2023 Business Plan is a reflection of the ABCB‘s (Australian Building Codes Board) commitment to implementing the regulatory reform agenda agreed by Governments. We are currently at the half-way point of this three-year amendment plan that is expected to deliver a considerate amount of changes to the NCC (National Construction Code).
The NCC is Australia’s primary set of technical design and construction provisions for buildings. The release and adoption of the NCC 2022 was initially delayed in response to industry disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic, but release dates of National Construction Code (NCC) 2022 have since been established:
- 9 May 2022 – A preview will be available at the NCC website
- 1 September 2022 – Mandatory adoption by states and territories
The ABCB will be hosting seminars through July and August 2022 to present important changes to the NCC 2022 Volumes One and Two over the following dates:
